01/04/10 - Just finished recording a new album on a Tascam 38 reel to reel machine. Will not be released under "Shai Erlichman." Will be released under another name. Why? Because this record is a band record!
In other news, "The Whitehaus Family Record Family Record" double vinyl is coming out this month. Shai song "Brains for Blood" appears on side D. Woah. You can listen to it now on myspace

9/5/09 - Hello hello. Shai here writing from my lovely new apartment in Jamaica Plain, MA. I just saw that Cas Kaplan of Day Sleeper wrote a feature about me for Canadian music blog AWmusic. This is my first feature on a music blog! It's pretty neat. I especially enjoy Cas' wording when he writes that I am "earnestly weird" when I want to be. Who let that information out? Anyway you can read the article here.
In other news my band the Tiny Tornadoes have officially begun the exciting process of making a new record. We spent the end of August recording at Mickey's house in Gardner, MA. He's our drummer / upholder of chiiiiiiillllllll. (When you hear the record you will know that yes, one can gently rip on the drummy kit kit). All we gotta do is mix the beast and record some cello and vocal overdubs. I'll let you know how this progresses.
Not a lot of shows coming up aside from the one with WHY? at Clark University on the 9/27. If you're around the area that night please come. It will be fun, and what's more, it is FREE for all people! Yes!

8/13/09 - Internet, meet my new website. My new website, this is the Internet. Prediction: you shall become great friends. Oh, and hello human being. I almost didn't see you sitting there through this ambient-space-screen. You look vague and pancakey, but beautiful nonetheless.
You know what else is beautiful? Friendship! I want to thank my two buddies Adam Maryniuk and Daniel Ben-Ayun for working on this website. Without them we'd all be looking at something way less coherent, less exciting.
I will be posting blog-esq writings here in this NEWS section every so often as to tell you what's going on with my musical endeavors. This includes information and thoughts about recordings and performances. For now take a gander at the different pages. Cheers.
